The Three Elements to Make a Holy You

A “Holy” You – Part 1

You’ve heard of and we’ve discussed the “Holy One”, the “Holy Spirit”, and the “Holy Bible”, but what about a “Holy” You?

A “Holy” you is one made up of those three elements: The One, The Spirit and The Bible.  How do these three play an important role in you becoming the best you possible?  Let’s recap them to get a glimpse of what’s to come your way.

  1. Holy One: Believe something most don’t believe.
When we talk about the Holy One, it’s just our way of saying we’ve chosen to believe something most don’t believe.  For those of us who are already uncommon, it’s easy, but it’s the rest, the normal ones that struggle to cross the line.  It’s hard to believe something that’s outside the norm.

“If you declare that Jesus is Lord, and believe that God brought him back to life, you will be saved.” – bible.com/70/rom.10.9.gw

“If you [do what ordinary people have yet to do] declare that Jesus is Lord [The Uncommon One], and believe that God [The Holy One] brought him back to life, you will be saved [become unlike the rest].

Step 1 starts with believing what most don’t.
  2. Holy Spirit: Become someone no one else can become.
When we speak of the “Holy Spirit” we acknowledge that there exists a force that can make us like no one else.
“Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said…The members of the council were amazed when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, for they could see that they were ordinary men with no special training in the Scriptures. They also recognized them as men who had been with Jesus.”  – bible.com/116/act.4.8,13.nlt

Here we find Peter being described by the ordinary men around him.  They were amazed at what Peter had become as a result of his encounter with the Holy Spirit.  They could see that something was very different about these ordinary men. What they saw were two men who came into contact with the one force that’s able to take you from ordinary and make you unlike the rest.

Step 2 begins when you become someone no one else can ever be.
  3. Holy Bible: Grow and learn in ways no other person is willing to grow and learn.
When we speak of the “Holy Bible” we’re not simply talking about a book most people are familiar, we’re talking about a tool that has the ability to turn you into something to be proud of and that God’s proud of.

“As you read what I have written, you will understand my insight into this plan regarding Christ.” – bible.com/116/eph.3.4.nlt

“Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” – ‭bible.com/547/2ti.2.15.kjva

As you read, you will gain insight, but insight into what?  I like to offer that you will gain insight into what is “common” and what’s “uncommon”.  You will see things no one sees. You’ll do things no one can do. And you’ll what no one else has.

As you study this book, you’ll go beyond trying to prove yourself to some mere person, but will prove yourself to God.  You fall short of what you’re capable of becoming when your goal is to prove yourself to some other person. Great heights exist.

Step 3 commences when you lose the goal of proving yourself to people, but instead  to God who teaches you to grow beyond common.

You didn’t find your way to this page by accident.  You stumbled upon this information because you have greatness inside of you that’s crying to get out.  Holy is not what you think!
