Erasing My “Common” Past and Present for an Extraordinary Future

“But Lord,” Gideon replied, “how can I rescue Israel? My clan is the weakest in the whole tribe of Manasseh, and I am the least in my entire family!”  The lord said to him, “I will be with you. And you will destroy the Midianites as if you were fighting against one man.” (Judges 6:15-16 NLT)

God is calling you for something different than what you see today.  Are you going to continue to say you’re not good enough or not qualified enough or are you going to accept what God’s saying? You are more than qualified to have a successful family, a great home, that career, to start that business you’ve been dreaming of, to run for political office, to change the world, to be healed.  You have what it takes to overcome your past and present to be uncommon!

Gideon knew he was the least qualified candidate, yet God didn’t let that get in the way. God masters in turning the ordinary into the spectacular.  This is what it is to be no-longer-common.

iPray: Lord, I receive the message you gave Gideon.  You erased his past and present. Erase my past and present so that I can overcome and become the extraordinary person You want me to be.  In Jesus’ name.
