When We Think We are the Least
We think like ordinary people:
There was a man named Gideon who looked at the facts. He looked at his past and current set of circumstances. He applied those to his future.
God doesn’t think like ordinary people:
God said something totally different than what Gideon was saying to himself. Here it is, two different perspectives about the same person (Gideon).
This is what makes God so unique. He doesn’t dwell on the past nor the current, He sees what will be. He uses simple-yet powerful-words to transform His future. Gideon is an example of this and you can be as well.
God is calling you for something different than what you see today. Are you going to continue to say you’re not good enough or not qualified enough or are you going to accept what God’s saying? You are more than qualified to have a successful family, a great home, that career, to start that business you’ve been dreaming of, to run for political office, to change the world, to be healed. You have what it takes to overcome your past and present to be uncommon!
Gideon knew he was the least qualified candidate, yet God didn’t let that get in the way. God masters in turning the ordinary into the spectacular. This is what it is to be no-longer-common.
