Part 7 – How to Leave Our Place of Quarantine

“Then Noah built an altar to the Lord, and there he sacrificed…that [which] had been approved for that purpose.
And the Lord was pleased with the aroma of the sacrifice and said to himself, “I will never again curse the ground because of the human race, even though everything they think or imagine is bent toward evil from childhood. I will never again destroy all living things.
As long as the earth remains, there will be planting and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night.”” – bible.com/116/gen.8.20-22.nlt

Here we are leaving the boat as God has directed and the only reasonable response is to make an offering. What other response will you have to give God who’s delivered you from your flood. I don’t like to do this, but this too is a part of prayer. Let’s prepare for an offering. [Remember I warned you; this is not for beginners.]

[Pray This]
(Take This Action)
Lord God, show me what I may offer up to You that will be a pleasing aroma for You. You’ve brought us into a new place and the only response we have is to make an offering.

We know that You’ve promised to never again destroy all living things. You’ve promised that as long as the earth remains, it will continue to abide by Your laws. What we plant is what we reap. What shall we plant? What can I plant? We can count on there being seasons as well as a distinction between day and night. You’ve left us some signs and symbols that everything is going to be alright. What then can I offer You? Thank You for such a promise.

“Then God blessed Noah and his sons and told them, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth.
I have placed my rainbow in the clouds. It is the sign of my covenant with you and with all the earth.” – bible.com/116/gen.9.1,13.nlt

[Final Prayer]
Lord, it seems strange that the flood (pandemic) didn’t start until after we’d experienced Your blessing.  We found a way to stir Your anger and now the pandemic ends with You blessing us. May we never again, take You for granted and allow the things You’ve given to bless us be a replacement for who You are. Amen!
