It’s Time to Alter Our Course

An Epidemic of Mass Proportions – Part 3

Part 2 – What Happens to One Doesn’t Happen to All, But All Are Impacted

“Then the people came to Moses and cried out, “We have sinned by speaking against the Lord and against you. Pray that the Lord will take away the snakes.” So Moses prayed for the people.” – bible.com/116/num.21.7.nlt

Here’s where it gets good and provides you and me with actions to take. The very act that led them to be freed from their captivity is the same thing that led them to an answer to the snake infestation. What if we follow this example. That would mean we’d run to God’s representative and not turn against him (them). That would mean we’d cry out to God and not bring reproach against Him or His institutions. That would mean we’d have to change our current direction of complaining and speaking out against God and God’s representative to turning towards the very One and ones we’ve gone against. Hint: that’s called repentance.

[Pray This]
Lord, I am so sorry that I’ve spoken against You and against Your representatives in the earth. In fact, it was even wrong of me to allow others to do the same. I stand for You and I stand with You. Please forgive me. I alter my course. It’s my ways that have brought calamity upon us and it’s my ways that will remove the calamity. I pray that “the Lord will take away COVID19 (the pandemic).”
In Jesus’ name.

“Then the Lord told him, “Make a replica of a poisonous snake and attach it to a pole. All who are bitten will live if they simply look at it!” So Moses made a snake out of bronze and attached it to a pole. Then anyone who was bitten by a snake could look at the bronze snake and be healed!” – bible.com/116/num.21.8-9.nlt

If you take a moment and review the major crises our nation has seen in the past, you’ll realize that by some amazing turn of events the epidemics faded away. How’s that? In times of crises, people run to God in mass numbers. If you look back over any major catastrophic events, you’ll notice that the one thing that people do is run to the church. They never attack the church during times of crises. It’s time to run to God.

[Pray This]
Lord, it’s time I run towards You. I have no idea why I haven’t thought of this earlier. Let me be the first in my family, the first on the job, the first in my neighborhood, the first in my church, the first in my city to cry out to You. While everyone else may have turned away, let me be on the team that’s helping to lead them back, in Jesus’ name.
