Why I Left My Dream Undone?

I’d like to take a minute and have you close your eyes and think about a dream or aspiration you’ve had. Maybe you wanted to own a hotel, purchase a building, begin a non-profit organization, start a movement, write a book, etc. Yet, the dream was so big, you just left it alone. You’ve not given it a second thought or you’ve not made one step towards it. You know why? You’ve done what everyone else does when this happens to them. And yes, everyone has such dreams, hope, visions and aspiration. Yet, there’s one difference between them and you. You’re reading this. I call these dreams and aspirations, your thirty-thousand-foot prayer.

Prayer Condition:
Until now I’d given up on my dreams and left them in the back of my mind. I shook them off as nothing more than dreams.

The Prayer:
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” – bible.com/bible/116/PHP.4.6.NLT

You’ve made the normal mistake of turning your need into a worry. The reason you have worries is because you’ve not exchanged it for prayer. Your thirty-thousand-foot prayer is nothing more than a project that you’re praying over as you put actions to your dream.

[Pray This] Lord, if I begin to take actions towards that dream I’ve buried, will You help me. I realize that in order to be uncommon, I’ll have to do what an ordinary person won’t and that’s to take action on the dream You’ve planted in my heart, in Jesus’ name.

Your Action:
(What action based on your prayer can you take?)
Today, I begin to start praying everyday about what step or action I can make towards making my dream a reality. What can you do today that will move you in the direction of your dream?
