Matthew 16:23 Good intentions or God intentions; it’s a choice we must make.

Jesus turned to Peter who is a follower of Christ. In other words, He was a Christian, a church member. Peter had good intentions and wanted nothing bad to happen to Jesus. However, Jesus made these statements.

Jesus turned to Peter and said, “Get away from me, Satan! You are a dangerous trap to me. You are seeing things merely from a human point of view, not from God’s.” (Matthew 16:23 NLT)

It shows us that while people may have good intentions and mean well, it’s not always what God wants for us and that makes all the difference. Good intentions or God intentions; it’s a choice we must make.

Common is thinking that good intentions are enough. No-longer-common sees past good intentions by seeing God’s intentions.
