Are You Ready to Become More?

It’s time to become more…
Do you think it’s time for more?  More in your relationships?  More from your children?  More out of your career?  More out of church?  More from your business?  More in your finances?  More in your home?  More in life?  There’s only one answer when ordinary is no longer working out for you.   It’s time to become more!  It’s time for you to give relating to Jesus a real try.  It’s time you let go of all the “normal” things in life.

What does more look like?
Your next question should be, but what does that look like.  I’ll give you an example.  You’ve heard church-people imply you can’t drink alcohol.  Have you ever asked why not?  Have you ever questioned them and asked what does God’s word-the Bible say about it.  Surprisingly, it doesn’t say you can’t drink it.  In fact, Jesus made alcoholic beverages, that might be a stretch, but He made wine.   Not to go too extreme in my example, the Bible does say don’t let your alcohol take the place of what only God can provide.  Have you heard people say each evening they have to have a glass of wine because of the day they had?  God wants to be the one who brings them (you) satisfaction not the glass of wine.

What does more look like?  That’s easy.  It doesn’t look like the same old things you’re accustomed to seeing, hearing and knowing.  When you see familiar territory that’s an indicator that nothing is going to change.  I remember when my life wasn’t going the way I had envisioned it.  I decided to stop going down the same old paths I’d been down before.  I was so extreme [to the left] that I changed my signature.  In other words, I changed my name and who I was.  I was no longer just Kerry Clark, I became KAC or Kerry A. Clark.  My name took on new meaning.  What are your willing to do to have more?  More life.  More peace.  More victory.  More joy!

The How
Because I’m compelled, determined and passionate about helping others fight their way out of normal, I’m going to tell you how.  [To the left] If I were you, here’s what I’d do:

  1. Decide that you no longer want to go down the same path you’ve been on.  Stop playing around with your life!  You’re the only one losing in that game.  And once you decide, don’t turn back, see your decision through.
  2. Subscribe to nolongercommon.com, if you haven’t already.  This just means you need a new community and positive influences.  Be apart of something that has meaning!  Our weekly blog posts (messages) are designed to encourage those just like you, but don’t stop their engage in conversation with me, my team and others who subscribe to nolongercommon.com via social media or simply reply to our emails.
  3. Surround yourself with people going in the direction you desire to go.  That also means leave those who aren’t.  Hey you, don’t look back or be heartbroken by what or who you must leave.
  4. Lastly, concentrate only on the things, talents, crafts, and skills that you’re good at.  Yes, that gift only God could have planted within you!  This might be the most important action.  When you connect with what you’re meant to do and make a living out of it, you no longer really ‘work’ again.  It’s all play, a game where you actually win.

I’m glad I’m not you.  Most people have trouble saying goodbye to the past [because it’s normal], but that’s exactly what you must do…I don’t want you to remain normal.  It’s not working.  Stop looking back.  It’s time you become more and I want to help you.
