Worry is the result of being me-centric

Worry is a problem we all face. 9 times out of 10, or better stated 99 out of 100 people you know are dealing with worries. So I asked myself, why do people worry and I concluded that worry is a result of you dealing with situations that you created but are now out of your control.

“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life-whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing?… “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. -Jesus (Matthew 6:25,31-33 NLT)

If the situation was in your control, you’d simply get rid of it. It’s like a house that you can no longer maintain the payments or upkeep. Or your debts swallowing you. It all started with you. Worry is me-centric –centered around me. It’s always thinking of self and what self wants first.

In order to no longer worry, God and His way of doing things must be first. You must avoid being me-centric and become God-centric.

No-longer-common people are God-centric and are no longer me centric.

Try taking the focus off yourself and focus on the things He puts in front of you and see how relaxed and stress-free you become.
