The Only Chance To See God

What if there was a sure fire way for you to see God? Would you do it? I think I’ve found a way.

I’m going to just put it out there. There is but one way for you to ever see God, you must be made no-longer-common because common will never enter His presence.

Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy [uncommon] life, for those who are not holy [normal people] will not see the Lord. – bible.com/116/heb.12.14.nlt

Holy simply means not normal. It takes work to live an uncommon lifestyle. It takes work not to be normal. Ask anyone who is uncommon and you’ll find that being uncommon took a tremendous amount of work. Normal is hard to avoid and identify because it goes uncontested in most cases. It will take something you don’t normally subject yourself to, like the Bible, to live unlike anyone else.

Work at living in peace with everyone
One of the most popular characteristics of God is the word “peace”. Scripture references Him as the God of peace and Christ (His son) as “the prince of peace.” This word peace, [whole with nothing missing, broken or lacking] is very unfamiliar to normal human beings. Peace is one of the only things that a human being cannot experience without the presence of God. Peace just isn’t “normal”. If you want to have peace (satisfying days) with everyone, you have to work at it. And it’s work that normal people try to evade.

work at living a “holy” life
Living in a state of peace would mean you live a life that’s “holy.” It’s not normal nor is it common. Peace isn’t a temporary feeling. It’s a lifestyle of having God [who is unlike what you normally encounter] at the center. His presence alone brings peace. In fact, you can’t have one without the other, no God, no peace. And at the bottom of it all, there’s work. No work, no peace. It takes work to get to a place of peace.

those who are “not holy” will not see the Lord
Let me say this as simply as I can, normal people will not see God. Being part of God brings peace, what normal people don’t have. Here’s a test for you. Identify all the people who have no peace; you’ve just identified all the people who don’t have God and will not see Him. These are the people waiting to see the peace in your life that will lead them to the God of peace and to be led to the Prince of peace. Are you willing to show the world around you what “holy” really looks like. It looks like an uncommon you. One who has “peace”.
