Introducing The Spirit

The Holy Ghost Will… Part 1

There’s a force that can make you different than the rest.

Being a Star Wars fan, we tend to give the Jedi credit for saying, “may the force be with you”.  Long before the Star Wars story this force existed and gave people the ability to be greater than any fictional Jedi.  And this force still exists today.

Matthew chapter 3 introduces us to The Spirit.  In this passage, The Spirit is referenced in two ways: 1) “Holy” Spirit and 2) the Spirit of God.

Before I continue, don’t get all bent out of shape over the word “spirit” [He is referred to as “Ghost” in some translations].  Let’s just say it this way, there is an invisible force available that can impact your life and can transform you into something or someone extraordinary.

“Holy” Spirit.
“The real action comes next: The main character [Jesus] in this drama will ignite the kingdom life within you, a fire within you, the Holy Spirit within you, changing you from the inside out. ” – bible.com/97/mat.3.11-12.msg

This is the spirit [force] that makes you different from the world [what’s common].  In other words, it’s the spirit that makes you uncommon. What would your life be like if you were unlike any other human being on the planet?  You would be a Jedi in your own right.

The Spirit of God.
“…as Jesus came up out of the water, the heavens were opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and settling on him.” – bible.com/116/mat.3.16.nlt

This is the spirit [force] that gives you the backing of The One who owns all things. Having The Spirit of God backing you makes the impossible possible and the common, uncommon.  How different would you respond to life’s situations knowing you’re connected to The One who owns and controls everything?

I want to introduce you to the “Holy” Spirit [The Spirit that makes us unlike the rest] or the “Holy” Ghost in some translations.  I am about to turn you into a Jedi over the next several weeks [installments]. Are you ready?

May The Spirit be with you!
