Have you given any thought to what your life means? How about what impact you’d like to leave on it? These are common everyday thoughts, but they are the ones you don’t want sneaking up on you. You want to be prepared for this before there’s nothing you can really do about it.
I’ve been thinking of the future and what I’d like my life to mean. I desire to have an existence that was worth it. So what can I do?
“Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones.
Learn from their ways and become wise!
Though they have no prince or governor or ruler to make them work,
they labor hard all summer [in the present], gathering food for the winter [the day that’s coming].” – bible.com/bible/116/PRO.6.6-8.NLT
[Pray This] Lord, I’m taking a lesson from the ants. I’m giving thoughts to my winter, the day that’s coming. I want to ensure my life takes the path I’ve prepared for and not one I’m under prepared for, in Jesus’ name.
(What action based on your prayer can you take?)
Here’s what I think I will do to get started. I will begin to define what it is I want my life to be and what I want others to think of me beyond retiring.
