Do I Stop Praying When My Prayer Isn’t Answered?

This is a big topic and concern for people who pray, especially those who are praying for really big prayer requests. Let me say it this way, normal behavior is to stop praying when your prayer isn’t being answered. Normal behavior says it’s taking too long and God’s not answering me. The funny thing is as I write this I’m thinking, how does one know that their prayer isn’t being answered? Is it possible that we give up on a prayer whose results are in the works?

“One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up.”

Why would Jesus use the words “and never give up?” Did He understand that one of our biggest problems when we pray is that we give up? I think so; it’s normal. Therefore, we must resist what comes normally and naturally. We must never give up.

[Pray This]Dear Lord, the easy way out is to simply give up, but the object of my prayer request is too important to give up on. Help me stay committed to pray and never give up, in Jesus’ name.

Your Action (What action based on your prayer can you take?):
I make plans, set reminders, solicit my friends, whatever it takes to make sure I don’t quit.
