Battling the Effects of Sharing My Child

It’s easy to fall for normal thinking that being a parent who shares-time of their child(ren) is the worst thing that can happen to a parent. You’re reading this because that might be your situation, but a person who’s turning to prayer isn’t normal. Therefore normal thinking doesn’t apply and after this normal thinking won’t apply.

Anyone who meets a testing challenge head-on and manages to stick it out is mighty fortunate. For such persons loyally in love with God, the reward is life and more life.

You see, James, gives us some uncommon insight. Let me help you with it. If you look beyond what’s normal, the time your child is away with their other parent and focus on your shared-time, then your attitude will change. When you meet the challenge by seeing what’s possible, not what’s taken, then you have a reward of life, a life that overflows. You’ll go from looking at your loss to looking at a life of gain. A life where you make the best of what you have and not allow what you don’t to impact it.

[Pray This]
Lord, will you help me to take my eyes off of my challenge and see what my challenge gives me to work with. In this way, I’ll make the best of what life has given me, in Jesus’ name.

Your Action (What action based on your prayer can you take?):
Today, I take this moment to outline what I can do with the time I have so that I don’t waste it thinking about the time I don’t have.
