Adjusting to Differing Parenting View Points

Most parents face the challenge of differing parenting viewpoints, but in a blended family, there’s not much you can do about the viewpoint of the parent who shares custody of your child. When you find yourself in such a situation what do you do?

It’s time to learn how to pray a new prayer.

“I am the Lord, and I do not change.”
‭‭-bible.com/116/mal.3.6.nlt‬‬

I’m certain you’re wondering why I chose this scripture in light of this prayer request. It’s simple. Since you can’t change how the other parent does what they do, you can only change you and how you do what you do. in such an instance, learn how to act like God does. He is reliable and can be counted on. In the end, His consistency wins out and so will you yours, if you like Him will “change not.”

[Pray This]Lord, since I’m unable to change another person, help me be the change I’d like to see in my child. In other words, teach me how to be an influencer like you who can always be counted on, in Jesus’ name.

Your Action (What action based on your prayer can you take?):
The action I take is that of finding ways to focus on my belief, principles and philosophies that can produce consistency in my life and my family’s.
