Rumors are Forming Against Me

I’ll be the one who tells you this; ordinary people stop when the rumors start up. They stop because they shift their efforts from the work to the rumor. Normal individuals think it’s their duty to defend themselves with a counter attack on the rumor. Let’s just say this is a mistake. It’s tough to not fall into such a trap though. So then what should one do to have a different response?

Four times they sent the same message, and each time I gave the same reply. – bible.com/bible/116/NEH.6.4.NLT1

I’m sure you can imagine someone coming at you more than one time, two times, and so on. Often, it seems like they just won’t give up. Nehemiah says that the threats came four times and he gave the same reply. What reply was that? He responded by continuing the work that warranted the attack in the first place. It was like he fueled the rumors even more. I say it like this, give them more to talk about by producing more results. That’s the response we should have on those who oppose us.

[Pray This]
Our Father, as we face the verbal attacks that try to hinder our progress, we don’t fall for it. We continue our work. Help us to remain focused on producing more results and giving our haters more to talk about. We will not stop and give them the time of day, in Jesus’ name.

Your Action (What action based on your prayer can you take?):
There are a few actions you can take right now as you pray:
1) Stay with the truth.
2) Don’t lose your courage to stay the course.
3) Don’t stop your work.
4) Continue with greater determination.
5) Pray as you go.
