When It’s Time To Get Serious About Prayer

If you are like most people who find themselves in serious situations, all you want is an answer. Maybe you’re drowning and life is taking your breath away. You don’t have time for people playing church. You need someone who knows how to get an answer from the throne room. What do you do if you’re this person in need?

“…the officer said, “Lord, I am not worthy to have you come into my home. Just say the word from where you are, and my servant will be healed…”

There was a Roman office who went directly to Jesus for such an answer, a dyer situation. It’s in his story that a fundamental key to prayer is revealed. In some cases, a person must get serious about prayer. They must realize that their speaker to the Commander-in-Chief of the universe that God can speak one word and the command to transform your situation is carried out.

[Pray This] Lord, You don’t have to come down from Heaven or give me much of your attention or time. Simply give me the command that will turn my situation around, in Jesus’ name.

Your Action (What action based on your prayer can you take?):
Knowing that God has the authority, I take prayer seriously. So much so that I: 1) make a plan on what I’m to say to Him, 2) make categories and organize all I have to talk to Him about, 3)  update my plans with His responses, and 4) treat my plan like a business treats its plans.
