God Answers Prayer With Actions

The Language of God in Prayer
Before I make this statement, let me share with you something I call “the language of God.” I believe anytime God speaks, He speaks to you in His language. When He answers you or responds or speaks to you, it’s bigger than you can at that point handle. You’re not ready for it.

““My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts [at this moment],” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine [at this moment]. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.”bible.com/116/isa.55.8-9.nlt

Since what He thinks is different and His ways higher, so then is what He has to say to you when He does [in this moment]. Not only is His way of thinking different, His responses are not what we think they ought to be. His responses connect us to His way of thinking to bring us to a new level of thinking, thusly a new way of acting.

God Answers Prayer With Action
Here’s an example. Gideon asked Him [God] a question.

“if the Lord is with us, why has all this happened to us? And where are all the miracles our ancestors told us about?”bible.com/116/jdg.6.13.nlt

Gideon has this question and for Gideon it isn’t a random question. It’s one that touches his passion, his concern, and his confusion. He wanted to see the things his ancestors had seen. He called them miracles, encounters from God that couldn’t be explained in any other way. He wanted his concerns and passion addressed by God. In the same way and at times so do we, but what we don’t consider is God doesn’t answer prayer using miracles. He answers prayer by giving instructions (for the prayer) to act that might end in a miracle happening.

“Then the Lord turned to him [Gideon] and said, “Go with the strength you have [at this moment], and rescue Israel from the Midianites. I am sending you!”” –  bible.com/116/jdg.6.14.nlt

Now I would love to continue with this very interesting story that speaks of how most human-beings feel in their ordinary state, but I can’t go on.  You’ll have to read the rest for yourself.  Just note that any time you converse with God (prayer), you will be given some instructions which may not seem to address your questions, God is speaking in His language.  However, those actions will certainly give way to your questions being answered.
