Are you that person who believes what you’ve done can’t be forgiven? (1 John 2:12 NLT)

Are you that person who would rather believe what you’ve done can’t be forgiven?

forgivenAs children of God, know that your sins, that which separates you from God, have been forgiven. Please know that if God can forgive us, then forgiving ourselves should be simple and necessary. I believe that we have been taught as a society how to hold on to un-forgiveness. As I think about it, if God can forgive us and we can’t forgive ourselves, what does this say about our confidence in God’s abilities. It actually seems as if we would rather believe the devil as opposed to God. We would rather believe that we can’t be forgiven rather than we can be forgiven.

I am writing to you who are God’s children because your sins have been forgiven through Jesus. (1 John 2:12 NLT)

No Longer Common: The person who believes God, forgives themselves and refuses to believe the devil’s lie that you can’t be forgiven.[/note]
