Created to Be Different and Unique

Why Being Different Isn’t a Flaw—It’s God’s Design

Uncommon by Design – Part 1

“Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit
[The Spirit that makes you Uncommon],
who lives in you and was given to you by God?
You do not belong to yourself,” – Apostle Paul [1]

This is more than a reminder—it’s a revelation. You were never meant to blend in, conform, or copy. Something “holy” lives inside you. The presence of God Himself marks you as different, unique, unlike anyone else. That alone makes you uncommon by design.

We live in a world driven by imitation.

When fashion trends change, people rush to match the look.

When celebrities reinvent themselves, others follow suit.

When a place becomes “the spot,” everyone shows up.

And slowly—almost unnoticed—identity begins to fade.

The pressure to fit in is constant. Society rewards sameness, celebrates conformity, and subtly teaches that value comes from looking like everyone else. But here’s the real question we rarely stop to ask:

Is your mind and body really yours to lose?

Are You a Masterpiece?

You are God’s masterpiece. What does that really mean? You were created to be different and unique—a masterpiece of God.

From the smallest cells in your body to the thinnest strands of your hair, God placed His signature on you. No two people are exactly alike. Even identical twins, formed from the same blueprint, so to speak, carry differences that cannot be replicated.

Yet so many people spend their lives trying to become someone else, never realizing they are already exactly who God intended them to be.

And here’s the most important truth of all:
You are God’s masterpiece—therefore, you are God’s and no one else.

You don’t even belong to yourself.

Your body and mind house the Holy Spirit—God’s Spirit that makes you uncommon. That divine presence elevates your life beyond ordinary and calls you into something extraordinary.

You were never designed to be common.

You were designed to carry God.

No-Longer-Common Thought:
Stop trying to fit in where God has called you to stand out.

iPray
Lord, we know that You are perfect and would never create anything flawed. It is our humanity that introduces brokenness, not Your design. Today, we surrender ourselves back to You—returning what was never truly ours. Use us as instruments of Your divine mission, and allow us to finally become who You created us to be. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
