Romans 10:3 Can Your Way, Stand in Your Way?
(Romans 10:3 NLT) For they don’t understand God’s way of making people right
with himself. Refusing to accept God’s way, they cling to their
own way of getting right with God by trying to keep the law.
The “they” are common individuals. Ordinary people don’t understand God’s way of making people right with Him. The same “they” will cling to their own way of getting right with God by trying to keep the rules and regulations found in God’s law. To them this seems right.
However, “they” refuse to do what God is asking them to do and that is accept His way – Jesus Christ.
The number one thing that stands in the way of common people becoming something more than common is their own way. Accepting Jesus is what makes you unlike others –no-longer-common. It means you give up your way for His way.
