In this web-post, we take a look at the life cycle of the 30-thousand-foot prayer request. After reading this you’ll soon understand why prayer doesn’t work as often as desired and why.
This message is setting the ground-work for understanding the concept of what I call the 30-thousand-foot prayer and why it seems so difficult to get big prayer requests answered.
In this episode, we dispel the normal idea that God couldn’t possibly hear me when I pray because He never answers. We replace this notion by taking the problem off of God and putting it back on me. If my prayer isn’t answered the problem isn’t God, it’s me.
Sometimes the best way to define something is by describing what it isn’t. It’s a good practice to state what the thing is not to understand what it is. That’s prayer, we know what it isn’t and yet describe the practice in those terms.
While I don’t want to just come out and say that you must qualify to have your prayers answered, there just might be something to this thinking. What do people who’ve had God’s ear all have in common? I bet what they have in common isn’t so common. Check it out.
