We’ve got a story to tell…

I saw this quote on a church billboard.  The billboard read “We’ve got a story to tell. Jesus is coming, are you ready?”  My first thought was this;  is that good news?  The Bible refers to what Jesus taught and His purpose for coming as the Gospel or the Good News.  I thought churches are suppose to spread good news.  Then I realized that [common] churches use scare tactics to get people into church.  While it may get them in, it certainly doesn’t keep them there.  I think we need a different (no-longer-common) approach to making disciples for Christ.  What do you think?

While Jesus is coming again, there’s more to His coming than our existence after death.
