When The Attack Comes From Within
The last place you’d expect your oppositions to attack is from within. The people on your team, the family in your home, the folks at church, none of these people should be on the list of individuals who are plotting against your efforts. While we know they should not be, we also know that it happens more than we care to admit. What if you’re under attack and the attack is coming from someone on the inside?
They were hoping to intimidate me and make me sin. Then they would be able to accuse and discredit me.

By using Nehemiah’s friend to persuade him, Nehemiah’s opposers had a plan to intimidate him and cause him to error in his ways. In other words, they were going to use an inside connection to set Nehemiah up. Can you believe that? Unfortunately you can because it happens. So how do we guard against this unexpected attack?
[Pray This]
Our Father in Heaven, forgive the person on the inside who’s partnered with my opposition to slow me down and even try to get me to quit. I understand that what I am doing is uncommon and for the common person they don’t understand it. However, let their attempt to come against me backfire. I am doing the work You’ve given us to do. Therefore I will remain steadfast and forced to see it through, in Jesus’ name.
Your Action (What action based on your prayer can you take?):
There are a couple things I can do in this situation beyond prayer; I have actions I can take as well:
1) Brace for the attack. I must not act like it’s not happening.
2) Don’t expect everyone to understand my course.
3) Understand what God’s asking me to do isn’t normal.
4) Don’t give my attackers any ammunition to use against me.
If I focus on these, I can be assured that I will continue on my path to seeing my dream accomplished.
