Maybe, just maybe it was because he understood who deserved the credit… Genesis 22:14

Abraham called the place where he experienced God’s provision Jehovah-Jireh which means God who saw ahead and provided for me. What do you call Him when He provides for you? Are you like the majority and don’t give God the credit? Do you sometimes overlook the fact that He has done something great in your life?

Think of all that happened in Abraham’s life and how blessed he and his family was. Maybe, just maybe it was because he understood who deserved the credit. I take a lesson from Abraham today. God has done some truly great things in my life and those places need His name stamped upon them so that each time I see it, I am reminded of His goodness.

I was thinking of a few examples…
Jehovah-my-wife or Jehovah-my-husband. Because God saw ahead and provided me a great spouse.
Jehovah-my-home. Because God saw ahead and provided me a great place to live.
Jehovah-my-children. Because God saw ahead and provided me with the children I need to carry my legacy.
Jehovah-my-health. Because when my health was failing, God saw ahead and provided me better health.
