How am I More Different than Anyone I Know
Here’s a question I’ve been asking myself for years; how am I more different than anyone else I know?
For the majority of my life, I have been trying to fit in. In elementary school, I wanted to be just like everyone else. I wanted to have the things that everyone else had. When I moved on to middle and high school, it was the same; like making a square peg fit within a round hole. It was beginning to be a little difficult for me to keep up. Not that I was slow, I was just tired of trying to do things their way instead of my own way. It wasn’t until I got to college that I decided I didn’t want to do things like everyone else, at least not like the people I knew.
Many of you may feel the same way, pushed to feel and be like everyone else; when in fact you were meant to be different.
We are like waves on the seashore, not one wave crashing the same. While we might end up at the same destination, the journey and routine doesn’t have to be the same.
Here in lies the question that I need your help in answering and the reason for which I started this blog site. How are you different than those around you? At first you might think you’re no different which is normal. You’ve been conditioned to be the same as others all your life–common. However, in all actuality, it’s time for you to take a step out on your own. It’s your time to be no-longer-common.
