Finding the Source of Love

I would imagine if you wanted to obtain anything, you would go to a place that offers what you wish to possess.  For example, if you wanted to buy a Big Mac you’d go to McDonald’s.  You’d find a source for the very thing you desire.

To The Source
Why then when it comes to “love”, do we rarely go to its source.  Instead we go to places and people who couldn’t supply it even if they wanted to.

In The 16 Levels of Love, The Tower of Love manages the source of “love”.  Now that’s a novel concept.  The source of love?  Have you ever considered that love has a source?  If you haven’t, this is a good starting point for you to experience such.  Honestly, if you’re not acquainted with the source of love, you’ve never experienced it in the first place.

There is only one place you can find love…
There is only one place to learn how to love…
There is only one who can give you love…

20170129 NLC Blog - Finding the Source of Love“Imitate God [who unlike anyone else is love], therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children.”

Why would there be a verse of scripture that says imitate God?  It’s not a normal behavior.  Imitating God is far from normal.  Imitating God, who is Love, in everything you do is a command that goes un-followed.  How can you apply love or even imitate God in everything you do, if you’re not acquainted?  The answer is…you can not.

In God is the only place love exists; He is love.  He is made of love.  He possesses love and He’s the source of the stuff.

“He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.”

A New Concept to Apply
I’m not going to try to sell you on this concept that so many struggle with.  However, do you ever wonder why God would give Himself for someone like me or you?  The answer is He is not like you or me.  He’s uncommon in a way that we are not and to understand Him is to become uncommon in the way that He is.  Imitate God.

Imitate Him in everything you do.  Everything you do should produce uncommon, not-like-other’s results.  You should be like God in your own right.  Performing miracles.  Yes!  Making what seems impossible for others, possible.  Giving yourself even when nothing is given in return.  Creating worlds out of nothing.  That’s love.  You’re not ready to understand love until you step out of “common” into something more.

Now apply this concept to your relationships, any relationship.  When you love someone, that act can only come from God.  Without Him, it (love) doesn’t exist.

How different would your relationships become if you imitated God in your relationships? Leave a comment.
Be ready to encounter a force that supersedes your normal life experiences when you enter The Tower of Love.  It’s the place where God dwells.
